I’m a romance author, and my books are linked are at the end of this newsletter. My value word for today is Journey. “The Journey: A Music Special from Andrea Bocelli” is a documentary starring Andrea, one of my favorite singers. He and his loved ones embark on a 200 mile journey on horseback, through beautiful Italy. This movie speaks to my soul.
Music and my faith ground me no matter what’s happening near or far. These two things stay constant and touch me deeply. We are on a journey, seeking to make a difference. Andrea does this through his voice, igniting emotion, and I do it through writing, telling stories, hoping to inspire.
Today, I’m uplifting author Katrina Lyman Jones. She is a voracious reader of many different genres, but particularly loves historical fiction. She’s been a writer most of her life, and it is her greatest passion, after Jesus and her family. She holds a BA in English Teaching from Utah State University, and over the past 20 years has raised her children in Arizona, Ohio, and Utah. Currently she resides in southern Utah with her wonderful husband and five children, where she loves her faith, gardening, and being a flutist in the Southwest Symphony.

A Diamond in the Rough: Rupert & Katherine’s Story:
Rupert has long admired beautiful Katherine from afar, but she is always surrounded by other young men vying for her attention—men who are all more flashy and debonair than he. However, in the spring of 1902, after a life-changing trip to Worthington with their mutual friend, Samantha, Rupert feels more confident and dares to try to gain Katherine's affection. However, there are a few hurdles to overcome, the most difficult of which is Katherine's overprotective father. And then there's Rupert's own sense of insignificance in the face of Katherine's talents and accomplishments. After all, he is nothing special.
